Red Rock Canyon Red Rock Canyon - Red Rock Canyon is less than an hour's drive west of Las Vegas. 13-mile loop drive offers sightseeing, vistas and overlooks. If your time is limited, stop at either of the Calico Vista points. Both offer good vantage points for photographs of crossed-bedded Aztec sandstone.

Mount Charleston Mt. Charleston - The area known as Mount Charleston is made up of 316,000-acre Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, which is part of the Toiyabe National Forest. Mount Charleston is only 40-miles north of Las Vegas on route 95.

Valley of Fire State Park Valley of Fire State Park - Valley of Fire State Park is located only six miles from Lake Mead and only 55 miles northeast of Las Vegas via Interstate 15, on exit 75. Valley of Fire is Nevada's oldest and largest state park, dedicated in 1935.

Zion National Park Zion National Park - Protected within the park's 229 square miles is a dramatic landscape of sculptured canyons and soaring cliffs. Zion is located in Utah, at the junction of the Colorado Plateau, Great Basin and Mojave Desert provinces. Only 170 miles from Las Vegas.

Death Valley National Park Death Valley National Park - This unique national park is open all year, but winter is the best time to visit the points of interest in the valley. Located 147 miles from Las Vegas, Death Valley National Park is almost 300 feet below sea level and is recognized as the lowest point in the Western Hemisphere.

Grand Canyon National Park Grand Canyon - Grand Canyon National Park covers 1,218,375 acres in northwestern Arizona. It includes 105 miles of the most colorful part of the Grand Canyon of the Colorado River. The Grand Canyon is only 264 miles from Las Vegas.
