Harley-Davidson Rasing Money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association

Remember those summer vacations where you felt like the road trip would never end? “Are we there yet?” We used to relentlessly ask our parents as they were driving along the open road with nothing much to see for scenery. Or how about that all day sports camp where at the end of your day you felt so exhausted from running around, you never thought you would be able to make it through the next day? Those were the dog days of summer that live on with you into adulthood. Summertime is an especially important time for some special local families who have children who have been diagnosed with muscle disease. This is the time of year where MDA of Nevada provides kids the opportunity to experience adventures and build independence- at no cost to these families. For many families, the week of MDA…

Motorcycle Safety Awareness

In a city where we constantly see dangerous conditions for pedestrians we can sometimes forget about the safety and well-being of our fellow riders. Today our city gets a reminder in the form of traffic signs. The signs were installed in Las Vegas as part of the O.N.E. program, a federally-recognized motorcycle awareness campaign created by Allstate Insurance Company. Its goal: to identify dangerous intersections across the country for riders and provide local, county, and state municipalities the resources to help protect those on two wheels. Working hand-in-hand with the appropriate jurisdictions, Allstate installs permanent traffic warning signs at each location and then conducts a large awareness campaign to alert the community in hopes of ultimately eliminating this preventable issue. To date, Allstate has conducted awareness efforts in a third of the United States, installing 167 Watch for Motorcycles signs in 37 different cities…

Personal Preference: Which bike is right for you?

I always find it interesting how people make their decisions on which bike is right for them. It is not as simple as the style of bike any longer. With so many choices within each class of Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, the smallest details are what set each model apart from the other. It’s these details that make the experience of searching for your perfect bike something you will never forget. Over the weekend Las Vegas Harley-Davidson went out to a community event that was held at the North Las Vegas airport. We took four different bikes from our 2015 line-up, and I was amazed at which bikes got the most attention. Surprisingly enough, the V-Rod was the most popular bike of the day for both men and women alike. People were in awe when they learned that Harley-Davidson and Porsche teamed up to develop that…
